What is an 'Indig'?

While you are going over this material you will see the term 'indig' used multiple times. At the time I was working on this project, I did not wish to have the research associated directly with numerology, and my peers who work in that area specifically said that it didn't actually qualify since it was "Grannies Old Math Trick" of adding up and canceling the nines, Modulo Nine. Essentially these are the embedded patterns which came from both the Egyptian and the Babylonian astro-mathematical linages. These developed independently of each other and were inherited by the Mediterranean cultures and reconstituted through the Greek, Vedic and Latin mathematical disciplines, which is the basis of what we use today to understand our Universe... and to create the algorithms that are taking over the world... I digress

So back to the uncommon term 'indig' which means 'integral digit'; I found myself saying this phrase a lot, so I shortened it to "in-dig" when explaining 9-12 Zodiac connection.... And a few years later, I was going over some of Buckminster Fuller's written notes on the mathematical frameworks which he was using for understanding the patterning of the geometries in his lattice shell structures (geodesic domes & crystalline matrices) and his philosophies of natural energetic efficiencies. And not so much, to my surprise he had coined the same 'word' decades earlier for the same reasons. I had gotten there through an astrological deep-dive rabbit hole, and he had come to it through nature's engineering and and structural efficiencies... the way the cosmos builds worlds.

Because the fundamental unfoldment of the 3D reality echoes this first set of integral patterns which permeate nature and the energetic scaffolding of all things physical and spiritual... Through the lens of Light, from the cosmohedral shape of the first energetic quantum forms... to the first cellular divisions, the patterns within Lagrangian mathematics that reveal that to us the solar and celestial gravitational magnetic fields... this language is encoded within us and this is the basics of the phonetics and the beginnings of its syntax!

A Brief Summary & Exploration into the Search for Meaning through Numbers

The project name 'Celestia Mathematica' refers to "celestial mathematics" and is derived from Newton's, 'Principia Mathemactica', as well as the first 9 insights of James Redfield's, The Celestine Prophecy.

True natural mathematics, such as Shuxue (数学) or the Quadrivium studies, is a bridge between ancient wisdom sciences and the future science of the physical reality. It reveals how celestial rhythms, astrological harmonics, and quantum resonance form a hidden language shaping reality. The universe isn’t just a collection of planets and numbers; it’s an intricate design encoded with meaning, waiting to be deciphered. From the cycles of time to the structure of consciousness itself, the concepts of the celestia maths invite us to see beyond randomness and recognize the patterns that connect everything. It starts with you, seeking a deeper understanding of the integers, considering every number as a new friend. Hidden numbers guide our lives, probably now more than ever before. Whether by 'qualia or quanta ... "Everything is Number"...

A Nine Tangent

I have always enjoyed numbers. When I was young, I was required to read and study the Christian Bible. Being an inquisitive Sagittarius Ascendent and Mercury in Gemini, I asked a lot of questions. In 1976, the film The Omen came out, and for the next year or so people were talking about the anti-Christ, the Mark of the Beast - 666 and the Signs of the End Times, the end of our Age...

Being raised in Dallas, Texas, the shiny belt buckle of Bible Belt, by the time I was 8 years old I had covered most of the Biblical stories more than once; I read a lot. I was fascinated by how often the number 12 came up, as well as all of the symbols that made no sense when read literally. I was especially interested with anything that had to do with the anti-Christ. I was determined that I could crack the code of the Mark of the Beast...and help defeat the forces of Darkness, prophesied in the Book of Revelation. Basically, save the world like every Saggie super-hero in their own mind would like to do. So I took up that charge, and that still seems to be the mission...save the world from Darkness and to let in some Light...

In the 1990's, while suffering an extended 'crisis of faith', I decided to do some study in comparative religion and philosophy, I spent a lot of time in libraries... With the assistance of my radical uncle Dr. Ted Norris, I was exposed to a lot of heretical new thinking, which suited my Uranian rebellious mind. He passed on a boot-legged VHS copy of Dr. Brian Swimme's "Canticle of the Cosmos", and I purchased the first DVD set of the Bill Moyer's series with Joseph Campbell, "The Power of Myth" and I watched it repeatedly. I poured over works like the I-Ching, The Vedas, Upanishads, The Books of the Dead, the theosophical and occult works authors like Blavatsky, Uspensky, Crowley. In 1994, I managed to catch the PBS series "A Glorious Accident" with a panel of 6 leading scientists mathematicians; the only one on the panel that I felt was actually of proper scientific mindset was Dr. Rupert Sheldrake, whom I later would discover shares the same June 28th birthday as me. Slowly my 'faith' was restored. Through all of this exposure and continual processing of information it became clear that the same cycles I could see in the sacred & occult texts were in correspondence with patterns of nature, mathematics, spiritual discourse, and not to mention astrology (to which I hesitated to fully embrace until I could 'prove it' at least to myself, which I have been doing ever since).

In 1997, I saw the film 'Seven Years in Tibet'... and though it was not filmed in Tibet, something inside told me I had been there... and that I would see it again. After having written a letter to the Chinese consulate in Beijing and actually getting a reply, I took it upon myself to manifest the means, the companions and the time to go. In 2000, I traveled to South Central Asia and took up temporary residence in both Nepal & Tibet, while there I needed to learn a little Sanskrit, (you need to know the numbers to exchange money at the very least...) no matter where you go you have to transact! And being a pattern-finding type of person, I noticed that within the integers, when placed in a circle, there seemed to be a reflective pattern 'anchored' around the 3-6-9. There was also a symmetry between the other numbers, like a cycle of reflections, (this is not apparent in all varieties of Sanskrit, but if you study the evolution of number systems, the same similarities arise going back to the dawn of writing.)

Around the same time, I had encountered the work of maverick mathematician, Marko Rodin, with his doubling circuit & vortex math. Something he said in an early interview, about having deduced his cycles from understanding he gathered from the Vedas, piqued my interest. (A number of years later, I would hear Nassim Haramein say something very similar about his discoveries, that they were deduced from the patterns in these ancient works, not directly from calculations.) A confidante of Sheldrake's, Terrence McKenna had established his work on the I-Ching many years before, so there had been a popular resurgence of number fascination naturally rising for some time. I also became a bit obsessed with the premise for the film "Pi" (1997)... which took me down a two year rabbit hole searching for exact π in the Zodiac... which I don't recommend doing unless you want to end up like the guy at the end of the film... BUT, we will touch on it briefly here.

My Thoughts on Pi - Modern & Ancient

We moderns like think of ourselves as superior to our ancient up-line. This short-sighted hubris gets us into a lot of trouble and inevitably keeps us lost in making the real connections to the past and to direct truth available in the natural world. When it comes to modern Pi, I feel that we have done what we do, and reduced it past the point of usefulness for understanding the precepts that the mathematical and Zodiacal structures are built upon. I find that there is valuable truth in the study of Pi but that to get the 'gold' out of it, one must not dissolve it into solutions of infinity, but by concentrating it into manageable finite structure to extract its essence and maintain its beauty. (**I often think that with Base 10, we screwed the pooch by incorporating zero into standard calculations, which the ancients warned us about, and we have been lost in the infinities ever since... 'Science' is keeping us chasing our tails and laughing all the way to the bank. Zero is like humanity's Forbidden Fruit, once we've taken that first bite after having being warned, it inevitably takes us down pathways that will reveal the worlds beyond, and fry the best minds attempting to interpret the depths and expanse of this reality. But the interesting thing about Zero is that is "undefined" it can be anything that you want it to be, including infinity. You have to know the new rules to play the dimension shifting game.)

Modern Pi, intrigues us with its complete randomness. Is it 'correct'? Technically yes, it represents the calculable randomness we were meant to discover in the Piscean Decan of the End of the Piscean Age, as it mirrors it's axial Virgoan tendency to granulize chaos, and bypass 'order' altogether. In 2010 both Professors Robert Palais & Physicist Michael Hartl published works stating emphatically that Pi is essentially the 'wrong way' to do mathematics. With standard Pi, we have moved past the realm of constellating pattern and have we lost ourselves in the infinite, or this is how it seems from my perspective. Chaos is only useful to a degree...

Pi - Now in Color to 100,000 Places

I have read a few books on Pi, and just as modern Pi shows us randomness, ancient Pi, specifically the simplest form used by Archimedes, shows us order and symmetry. The same symmetry we see in Modulo 9, the integral digits. It is an exhausting topic but Archimedes used 22/7 for the basis of his calculations which gives us the pattern 3.14258714258714 repeating... with no 3, 6, 9's in the sequence. This tells us a lot if you wish to study the differences between the iterations & variations of Pi, yet won't be of much use to you in the context of modern mathematics. Both ancient Egyptian and Babylonian number systems give us this base symmetry, both in base-9 in correlation to base-10. Modern Pi is not as useful to mathematics as it is made out to be, or maybe I am still just holding a grudge against it due to my temporary obsession decades ago, and simply find it to be the 'work of the Devil'. Either way, what came out of it was a better understanding of the importance of the ratio, the "Golden Ratio", which underpins the fundamental structures of nature, no matter to how many scales you chose to divide it.

There are currently three Golden Ratio-centered unofficial holidays. First is Pi Day, March the 14th (3.14). Then there is Archimedean Pi Day, 22nd of July (22/7). And there is my personal favorite, Tau Day, June 28, (Double Pi 6.28 is Tau, which mathematicians should be using rather than Pi but that is for another topic and another time) and it happens to be my birthday, as well as Jean-Jaques Rousseau, Mel Brooks, Gilda Radner, John CusacK, Kathy Bates, Elon Musk and as I mentioned, Rupert Sheldrake (Cancers are a mixed bag; love us, hate us, we are used to it).

Let's move on in the project....

Why 'π is Wrong'?

Diving into Fibonacci Patterns

Having been both an astrologer & architect, I was always working with angles. By this time, I had become quite versed in the indig sequences that made up the basic patterns within the angles and degrees of the Zodiac, as well the larger divisions of time. The essential divisions & important aspects reduce down to the digit sums of 9, i.e. 22.5˚,45˚, 90˚, 180˚, 0/360˚, 720mins, 1440mins, 2160 years, etc., all repeating in scalar combinations. The one that caught my eye many times was 144 because it is echoed in the Vedas, as well as in the Christian Bible; it is the sum of 12 and 9 multiplied. And it also just happens to be the 12th number in the Fibonacci Sequence... So before I knew it, I was halfway there.

Also around 2005, I realized I needed to be comparing notes with astrologers and I started reaching out with MeetUp.com, in its first form, to gather folks together for several astrology research 'projects' I had started. I didn't know many local astrologers, and after 'wading through' dozens & dozens of interested people who really just wanted me to read their chart for free, I ran across a few serious practitioners and we soon established the Astrological Society of Austin, as a chapter of NCGR the National Council for Geocosmic Research. It grew and evolved over the years, it was a good time for local astrology.

What I quickly realized was that no one was seriously involved in any kind of research, and the majority of astrologers locally, nationally and overseas really hadn't done much, if any, research into the math or the science of astrology. It was, and still is, seen more or less as a novel niche area, which doesn't seem to carry much application to the horoscopic practice... this is where I vehemently beg to differ. So my efforts to 'prove it' for myself moved into showing others the connections, and how it can be used to guide the individual, as well as the collective to better understanding of the reality we find ourself in.

As I turned my attention towards the Fibonacci Sequence and applied the digit sum approach to various lengths of the pattern, it didn't take long to see the 24-number repeating cycle. I had seen it a few years before in the Marko Rodin doubling coil but it did not click at the time.

Though I came about this starry pattern through imposing astrological structure upon the Pisano sequence, and I had a lot of fun researching it from every angle, I realized it was just a starting point. I came to find out that this sequence had first been officially documented in 1960 by mathematician Donald D. Wall at Berkley, in his doctoral dissertation and catalogued in the OIES as sequence A010888. It was also referenced prior to that in the book by Martin Gardner – Mathematics, Magic and Mystery, in 1956. So in the scheme of things, it was not something many if any mathematically-minded astrologers had picked up on at that point. And it was an area ripe to be mined for new discovers, as I applied it to the astrological framework.

It is at this point that I should mention, that I had also begun deconstructing the astrological framework for the Precession of the Equinoxes within the Judeo-Christian narrative symbols, and when I put all of these layers together that is when I saw 'it'... This was the one time Pi - 𝚷, actually was useful in this work... Having read some of the 'philosophy of Pi', I was aware that its symbol carried the same studies of duality and non-duality that you read about with Gemini, and of course the glyphs themselves are easily mistaken for one another. I had tried several approaches starting with Aries, of course, yet, another series of dead ends. Then using precession as the guide point for turning back the wheel of time I looked for alternative stating points for the Zodiac, when the math itself was being developed, The Age of Gemini...

Pi in the Sky

Basic Patterns of 3-6-9-12 that align with the Zodiac

So I applied a layer of reduction to the Fibonacci Sequence and matched it up Gemini based on my interpretations of the stories of the twins, Jacob & Esau and the destruction the twin cities of Sodom & Gomorrah. It may not have made sense to anyone else, but it made sense to me... and it worked.

The Perfect Circle

With that, the Zodiacal Pattern Level, all of the traditional number patterns found within astrology emerged, polarities, trines, squares, quincunx, antiscia & contra-antiscia, etc. And with another level of reduction, there was the Fibonacci Planetary Ladder Level hiding right underneath; 1,2,5,4,7,8: the Luminaries, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn. It matched up 'structurally' with the level above and with the numerous combinations & divisions found in astrology, right there to back it up. One of those "Eureka" moments that has kept me going ever since... Unfortunately, many of the charts and notes were lost in a computer crash around 2008 and I have moved on to other areas related to Fibonacci, the Zodiac and the EMF spectrum...all of the work is based on this "cosmological simplex"... but the chromatic EMF connections are far more colorful...

I will be updating these chart & graphs with integrated Spectral Astrology in the coming months...
